Book Review – Before the Coffee Gets Cold

Imagine a small café where you can travel back in time. This is a moving story of four visitors to the café, hoping to take advantage of the magic for many different reasons. However, you must follow the rules. To sit in one particular seat. To stay in the cafe. You also have to return to the present before the coffee gets cold. I really loved this book, and I can’t wait to read the sequel!

Book Review – The Turn of the Key

Cover image for The turn of the key / Ruth Ware.

By Ruth Ware

An intriguing thriller, with just enough vivid description of its Scottish Highlands setting to make it feel gothic, atmospheric and just a little bit creepy. Rowan accepts a very well paid nanny position, which seems like the opportunity of a lifetime – but ends in the death of a child and Rowan on trial for murder, which she claims she didn’t commit – so who did?
